The plants came quickly in sturdy packaging with water to make sure they would survive the mail (mine were frost hardy). If your pond plants aren’t frost hardy, they hold on to your order until the last frost is over (or very close) to make sure your plants do. The plants were well packed and good quality. They are thriving in my new pond. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the delivery. It was supposed to be delivered overnight, but the delivery company kept sending me “delayed” messages with no explanation, and they insisted I had to be home to accept the package. Very frustrating.

Great plants, arrived promptly and well packaged. I placed my order a little too late in the season, so the waterlily flowers won’t be in bloom until next year. The oxygenators are doing their job of keeping the water clear Maybe a little expensive.

I had a problem with one of the plants that got damaged in transit, but there was no problem with getting a replacement. The other plants arrived in perfect condition, and I even made some suggestions about how to package them so that damage in transit doesn’t happen again. Will buy from them again next year after this year’s order has been filled and I know what else I need.

I’m a new owner, but when I went to the pond store near me, the plants seemed pretty pricey. Even when they got there, they looked a little worn out. But again, I have no idea what I’m seeing. I probably wouldnt buy from here again unless they was a sale on!.

I’ve ordered a few things from Plants for Ponds, and I have to say that Lucy’s customer service is absolutely top-notch! Not only does she provide great service when I first place my order, but she also does a great job with customer service after the sale, which is sadly lacking these days. The plants I’ve received from them have done very well, especially when I followed the instructions about how deep to plant them. I wouldnt think of looking elsewhere for plants (or snails) for my pond.

I took over a neglected 110 sq. pond in front of the flats where I live. It looked terrible. It was also strange that it was costing a lot of money every year for “maintenance.” Since they didn’t know much about ponds, they looked online and found that plants could be used to control the water quality by providing shade. I contacted Plants for Ponds, who have an extensive website. I decided to simply ask them for help. The owner, Lucy, spent time giving advice & making planting suggestions. We initially mainly bought water lilies for shading the pond. The pond looked great the first year, and even though the plants cost money, we saved money by not having an empty pond. In year 2 we added marginals like grasses, rushes and extra lilies. Residents and visitors alike think the pond looks wonderful and we’ve made huge savings in maintenance costs. Without Plants for Ponds & Lucy’s help this would have been so much harder to achieve.
